TEMPE, Ariz. - The fourth-ranked Arizona State baseball team (37-12, 12-6 Pac-10) will open its three-game series against Washington (23-23, 7-11) Friday night with ceremonial first pitches by Alice Cooper and ASU baseball alum Brian Weymouth (1980), founder and creator of "Alice Cooper'stown." Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Packard Stadium.
Sunday, May 14 has been designated as "Shirt Off Your Back Day." Fans may purchase raffle tickets during Friday and Saturday's games for the chance to win a gold jersey right off the players and coaches following Sunday's game. The lucky winners will be announced between each inning on Sunday. The Sun Devils will autograph the jerseys and present them to the winners after the game.
GIVEAWAYS: The first 1,000 fans through the gates Friday night will receive a free Jeff Phelps trading card. The junior infielder from Yuma, Ariz., is batting .366 with 67 hits and seven homeruns. He is one of four Sun Devils who have started all 49 games this season. The first 500 fans through the gates Saturday night will receive a free ASU baseball cap, sponsored by 76/Circle K.
ASU baseball single-game ticket prices begin at $4 for adults and $3 for juniors (18 and under) and seniors. Group tickets are just $2 each.
