CoSIDA Release | Complete list of honorees
TEMPE, Ariz. - Two Arizona State softball players were named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Senior Sam Parlich and junior Bailey Wigness both received First Team distinctions.
With the First Team selection, both Sam Parlich and Bailey Wigness will advance to the national Capital One Academic All-America ballot. Wigness, a returning Academic All-American, is going for a consecutive stab at the accolade.
Divided into eight geographic districts, Arizona State is set in District 8, which includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Canada. Academic All-Americans will be announced by CoSIDA on May 20.
