Six Swimmers and One Diver Earn All-American Status

Seven members of the Arizona State swimming and diving teams earned All-America honors for their efforts at the NCAA Championships. In all, the Sun Devils tabbed three All-America honors and 17 All-America Honorable Mention.

Caitlin Andrew, C.J. Nuess and Micky Benedetti were each named first-team All-America. Andrew earned her fourth All-America honor for her fifth-place finish in the 100 fly while C.J. Nuess earned his honor in the 400 IM. Benedetti was named an All-American for his seventh place finish on the one-meter.

Andrew also earned All-America Honorable Mention as an individual in the 50 free and 100 free. The 200 and 400 free relay team of Andrew, Jen Beckberger, Lindsey Brown and Jess Perazzo earned All-American Honorable mention accolades as well as the 200 medley relay team of Andrew, Beckberger, Lindsey Russenberger and Jess Perazzo.

After placing ninth in the 1,650 freestyle, senior Nuess was named Honorable Mention All-American. Benedetti also picked up Honorable Mention All-American honors on the three-meter and on platform.

The women's team finished 17th at the NCAA Championships while the men's team finished 18th.
