ASU: Moved from linebacker to flyback this Spring … had a good Spring adjusting to the new position … could be a powerful blocker for ASU’s fine stable of tailbacks … also could be a punishing runner. 1998: Posted one solo tackle in the season opener against Washington … stopped Maurice Shaw after a one-yard run in the first quarter … posted one assist at BYU … recorded one solo tackle in the Sun Devils’ 34-15 win over North Texas … posted one assist in ASU’s 24-3 rout of Oregon State … also had one assist against Notre Dame and one in the Sun Devils’ 55-22 rout of California … contributed on special teams … played in 10 games.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 1996 graduate of Canyon Springs High School, Moreno Valley, Calif.… played both running back and linebacker… named all-American by BlueChip Illustrated… SuperPrep all-state, all-C.I.F., Calif. all-state, all-county and all-league selection his junior and senior years … listed as a”Hot 100” recruit… first person to rush for 1,000 yards in eight games… senior year compiled 1,236 yards on 186 carries… also had 11 catches for 136 yards for a combined 19 TD’s… collected 87 solo tackles, caused eight fumbles and had three interceptions… lettered in football, basketball and track.
