2007 (Junior): Saw action in 50 games, starting six...named First Team Academic All-Pac-10...hit .345 with seven RBI...had 20 hits in 58 at bats...second on the team with seven pinch hits...played for the Winchester Royals of the Valley Baseball League over the summer.

2006 (Sophomore): Appeared in 44 games, starting 37...played in both the outfield and as a pitcher...hit .319 (45-141) with 26 RBI and 42 runs scored...had 12 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games...went 4-7 (.571) with three RBI and two RBI during the NCAA Tournament...also pitched in two games in 2006, working one inning...went 3-4 with three RBI and two walksat Baylor (2/25)...played for the Orleans Cardinals of the Cape Cod Baseball League over the summer.

2005 (Freshman): Had a banner freshman season at Michigan State earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors... also named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball and second-team All-Big Ten... finished the season hitting .349 (52-for-149) with 10 doubles, two triples, one home runs and 17 RBI in 41 starts in center field... recorded 19 multi-hit games... also had eight stolen bases and drew 27 walks... named Michigan State's Defensive Player of the Year... led the Big Ten with a .472 on-base percentage in conference play... hit .372 (35-for-94) with 26 runs in Big Ten play... finished the season on a strong note with hits in 18 of his last 20 games, going 31-for-75 (.413) during that stretch... also pitched in four games, allowing one earned run in 2.2 innings (3.38 ERA)... played summer baseball for the Lake Erie Monarchs in the Great Lakes Collegiate League... hit .297 (41-for-138) with 30 runs, 10 doubles, two triples and 13 stolen bases... recognized as the Player of the week ending July 17 after hitting .357 with three doubles, three runs scored and one stolen base... participated in the Great Lakes League All-Star Game... ranked among the leaguer leaders in doubles (10) and stolen bases (13).
