ASU: Ranks eighth in school history with a 20.16 in the 50 freestyle.
2004-05: One of ASU's top sprint specialists...had the team's fastest time in the 50 free (20.16) and the second-fastest in the 100 free (45.41)...ranked in the top 60 in the nation with his 50 free time...placed 12th at the Pac-10 Championships with a 20.31 in the 50 free...was 16th in the 100 free with a 45.56. 2003-04: Clocked a personal-best 20.33 on his way to a 15th-place finish at the Pac-10 Championships in the 50 freestyle...swam a personal-best 45.39 while placing 19th at the conference meet in the 100 free...swam the 200 free (1:41.70) once during the season.
High School: A 2003 graduate of Los Gatos High School, in Los Gatos, Calif....lettered four times in swimming and three times in water polo...captained swimming for two years and water polo for one...a seven-time All-American...twice named his high school MVP for swimming...earned all-conference honors for water polo.
Personal: Studying photography at ASU...born May 9, 1985 in Providence, R.I....parents Robert and Barbara both swam at the collegiate level...brother, Bobby (22), was member of the ASU Swim Team...full name is Richard James Crowder.
