Arizona State: A raw athlete who is also a linebacker on the football squad... hard hitting on the gridiron, and impressive at the plate on the diamond... a real hard worker... has unlimited potential... big in size and very tough... will contribute immediately for the Sun Devils... drafted in the fourth round of the 2000 draft by Houston.

High School: A 200 graduate of De La Salle High School... starred as a football player who was named all-region by several publications... had more than 140 tackles his senior year... also played fullback... captain of football and baseball team his senior year... coached by Brad Espositio on the diamond... 1st team all-state baseball as a senior and 2nd team all-state as a junior... hit .485 with 14 home runs and 46 RBI his senior season... best game was a 4-for-4 day at the plate with two RBI and pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts on the mound.

Personal: Undecided on a major at Arizona State... parents are Bud and Aurelia of Chicago, Ill... two sisters, Leanna (22) and Emily Nelson (8)... enjoys fishing... full name is Eric Paul Keefner... born December 8, 1981 in Chicago, Ill.
