ASU: Freshman All-American who returns for his sophomore campaign...former walk-on who earned a scholarship at Camp Tontozona last fall...has a strong leg...listed as the 17th-best punter in the nation by the Sporting News...was recognized as a Hard Hat Player for his work in ASU's winter strength and conditioning program. 2004: Played in all 12 games...earned Freshman All-America honors from the Sporting News, Rivals.com and the Football Writers Association of America...was a first-team Pac-10 All-Academic selection...ranked third in the Pac-10 and 15th in the nation with a 43.1 yards per punt on 64...recorded 11 50-yard punts...placed 16 kicks inside the 20-yard line...recorded three tackles (two solo) on the season...also completed a pair of passes for 60 yards on fake punt plays...placed three punts inside the 20 in the season opener against UTEP...averaged a season-high 51.3 yards per punt, including two 50-yard kicks, against Iowa...against Oregon State, booted three 50-yard punts, including a long of 61 yards, and placed two inside the 20-yard line...kicked two 50-yard punts against Stanford, including a 60-yarder...kicked a career-long 72 yard punt and completed one pass for 34 yards vs. Washington State. 2003: Redshirted as a member of the scout team.
