TEMPE – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the inaugural CSCAA Power 4 Dual Meet Challenge presented by VIsit Knoxville and is set to take place November 21-23, 2025 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee.

Arizona State will represent the Big 12 Conference and join four of the nation’s elite programs, each representing one of the Power 4 conferences: Michigan (Big Ten), Tennessee (SEC) and Virginia (ACC).

“The CSCAA is working hard to innovate our sport and create new ways of adding excitement to NCAA Swimming & Diving,” said head coach Herbie Behm. “This is an event that will be exciting to athletes and fans everywhere. We’re flattered to represent the Big 12 in this dual meet championship with some of the best teams in the nation.”

The four teams will compete in a double-elimination, bracket-style dual meet format that reimagines traditional college swimming competition. Each team is guaranteed three meets with the championship being a high-stakes, head-to-head matchup that highlights the individual excellence and team depth.

The Power 4 Dual Meet Challenge is designed to elevate the experience for both fans and athletes by introducing an easy-to-follow format optimized for television. The events will alternate between men’s and women’s races, helping emphasize strategy, speed and simplified scoring. Coaches will seed swimmers head-to-head with points awarded on individual race wins, signaling that every race matters.
