BOULDER – After a blazing-hot start saw ASU (11-8) scoring four of the game’s first five goals, Sun Devil Lacrosse fell 21-10 to No. 4 Florida (17-2) in the conference’s inaugural Big 12 Championship in Boulder, Colorado. Jordyn Behar, Katie Vahle, Anna Viglione, and Lydia Oldknow were all named to the All-Tournament Team for their tournament efforts in Colorado.

The Sun Devils doubled their goal total against the Gators after scoring only five goals in the regular-season meeting. The 10 goals were the most allowed by Florida to a conference opponent this season.

How it happened
The Sun Devils opened scoring with four of the first five goals in the contest. Florida battled back and went on a 4-1 scoring run to close out the frame, and both teams were knotted at 5-5 after one quarter.

In the second quarter, Florida tacked on seven goals to ASU's two and saw a 12-7 lead at the half.

Holding the Sun Devils scoreless until the eight-minute mark of the fourth quarter, Florida managed a running clock. ASU tacked on three goals in the fourth quarter, but the comeback was too late and the 21-10 score stood final.
