ORLANDO, Fla. – Sun Devil Softball saw its series at UCF evened up after the home side earned an 11-0 win in six innings on Saturday afternoon at the UCF Softball Complex.
UCF scored four times in the first inning before Meika Lauppe entered the circle for ASU and held the Knights in check. She worked around three hits allowed to not allow a run in her 2.1 innings of work.
The Knights added a pair of runs in the fifth inning and ended the game with a grand slam in the sixth inning.
ASU struggled to find consistency at the plate, with only AJ Murphy and Ashleigh Mejia picking up singles in the third and sixth innings, respectively.
