AMES, Iowa – Richard Figueroa and Shay Addison each earned pin-fall wins and Cohlton Schultz picked up career win No. 98 in the Sun Devils' (4-7, 1-5) 26-15 loss to No. 14 Iowa State (9-4, 4-1) on Friday at the Hilton Coliseum.

Figueroa's pin against Ethan Perryman gave the Sun Devils an early 6-0 jolt, but the Cyclones rallied to win the next six bouts to take a commanding 23-6 lead. True freshman Pierson Manville made his collegiate debut against Carter Fousek, using an aggressive start and a pair of takedowns to take an early lead before Fousek flipped the script with the Cyclones only pin of the night.

Manville was one of three rookies in tonight's Sun Devil lineup, alongside Javani Majoor and Joseph Manfredi.

Shay Addison tacked on six points for the Sun Devils with a pin against Fernando Villaescusa, marking the first time in his collegiate career he's crossed the 10-win mark in a single-season.

After a tight loss at 197, the Sun Devils turned it over to the reliable Cohlton Schultz, who earned career win No. 98 with a 3-0 decision victory against Daniel Herrera.

Made for March
The Sun Devils routinely make their living in the postseason. After a hot finish to their regular season in the spring, they stormed into the Gill Coliseum and captured yet another Pac-12 Championship title at the conference's final championships. It marked the 24th conference title in team history, the sixth under Jones' guidance and the fourth in the past five seasons.

With eight qualifiers competing at the NCAA Championships, the Sun Devils saw four individuals reach the podium. Figueroa etched his name in Sun Devil history with a finals win against Iowa's Drake Ayala, slamming the door on an unbelievable run in Kansas City in which he went 5-0 and dethroned two top-three seeds.

The 2023-24 season marked the team's fourth consecutive top-seven finish at the national tournament, while also earning four All-Americans for the fourth straight year.
