TEMPE, Ariz. – Freshmen Evaline Chepkoech and Judy Chepkoech will represent Sun Devil Cross Country at the NCAA West Regionals on Friday, Nov. 15, in Colfax, Washington, as both eye an opportunity to reach the NCAA Championships the following week.
Judy Chepkoech, whose sensational freshman season has included multiple Big 12 weekly honors and a fourth-place showing at the conference championships, enters with the second-fastest time in the region this season (6k/19:07.0).
The Women's 6k, hosted by Washington State University at Colfax Golf Course, will begin at 12 p.m. AZT.

Both are vying to become the Sun Devils' first individual champion at NCAA Regionals since Shelby Houlihan (2014), who won the Women's 6k at 19:31.6.

The Sun Devils hope to push both student-athletes through to the national championships on Nov. 23 in Wisconsin. Here's how the selection process will play out, via the NCAA:
- Thirty-eight individuals will be selected to participate in each championship through an automatic qualifier and at-large selection process.
- The first four regional finishers not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team also secure an auto-bid to the championships.
