TUCSON – Sun Devil softball dropped the second game of its weekend series with No. 19 Arizona 13-3 on Saturday evening at Hillenbrand Stadium.
Arizona State (18-24, 2-15 Pac-12) tied the game at 1-1 with a sacrifice fly from Kayla Lissy in the second inning. Arizona (30-13-1, 11-9 Pac-12) then scored eight straight runs before Samantha Swan singled in a pair of runs in the fourth inning.
The Wildcats increased their lead to 13-3 with four runs in the fourth and closed the game by holding ASU scoreless in the fifth.
The Sun Devils managed just four singles in the loss.
ASU looks to win the final game of the series on Sunday when the action begins at 2 p.m.
