TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Wrestling Assistant Coach Lee Pritts, one of the country's top recruiters and a widely respected figure inside the sport, has been selected to the Florida Wrestling Hall of Fame for his outstanding accomplishments, demonstration of sportsmanship, integrity and exemplary leadership.
"Coach Pritts has been a long time successful coach with roots not only in Florida but a legacy that reaches all over the planet," Sun Devil head coach Zeke Jones said. "Not only from Key West to Pensacola but from France to Turkey and everywhere in between.
"One thing is for sure: Everywhere he's gone, he's poured his honest heart and soul into every wrestler he's helped. Everyone truly loves Pritts. Glad to see Florida recognize his outstanding work."

One of eight nominees in the 2024 class, Pritts attended Western High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he became a two-time FHSAA State Champion. Wrestling at 118 pounds at Eastern Michigan University, Pritts was a two-time team captain, a three-time conference champion and an All-American en route to being named the MAC Conference's Outstanding Wrestler. In addition to a stellar collegiate career, Pritts was a qualifier for the 2000 Olympic Trials.
The Sun Devils tabbed Pritts as their assistant coach on September 4, 2012. Considered then as one of the country's elite recruiters, Pritts joined the Sun Devils after spending two seasons at North Carolina State.
Working with the lowerweights in Tempe, Pritts' impact has been felt far and wide since his arrival. He coached 125-pounder Brandon Courtney (2017-23), one of ASU's most dominant wrestlers, to three Pac-12 titles, the 2023 Pac-12 Wrestler of the Year award and four All-American honors.
Pritts also coached 133-pounder Michael McGee to become a two-time conference champion and a three-time All-American, placing as high as third in 2023.
The Sun Devils have captured five Pac-12 Conference titles in Pritts' tenure, winning three consecutive from 2020-22.
He will be honored alongside the 2024 class during the 2nd Annual Induction Banquet at the Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration Event Center on Saturday, May 4th.
