DENVER – With 9.925s from Anaya Smith and Kayla Lee, Sun Devil Gymnastics improved upon their first meet with a 196.375 to place second to No. 6 Denver's 196.900 in Magness Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Rotation One: Bars, 49.175
To start their first away meet of the season, the Gym Devils had a solid start bars to put themselves in first place. Samiley notched the first 9.900 of the season to lead the team on the event. Mangahas added a 9.850 right after her. Senior Cassi Barbanente and White also put up 9.825s to help pull ASU forward.
Rotation Two: Vault, 49.025
Anaya Smith pulled off a clutch vault performance in the anchor spot. She received the first 9.925 of the season and finished strong after lower scores forced her to bring it home. Hannah Scharf also put up a strong 9.825 while Mangahas had a solid 9.800.
Rotation Three: Floor, 48.850
In the third position, White earned the highest score on floor this season with a 9.900. Scharf also pulled out a strong 9.825 in the anchor spot for ASU when they needed it.
Rotation Four: Beam, 49.325
In the fourth and final position, the Sun Devils performed their best with their highest event total of the season. Starting strong, Lee earned a 9.925, which also earned her a new career high. Mangahas and Scharf added 8.825s while Sarah Clark recorded a 9.850. Emily White provides a strong finishing beam routine, earning a 9.900.
