CLERMONT, Fla. – Three Sun Devil triathlon team members competed over the weekend at the Clermont Challenge and finished with solid results. Naomi Ruff won the event, Faith Dasso placed sixth, and Camille Buchanan finished 11th.

Ruff won after completing the race in one hour, two minutes, and 30 seconds. She used a 10:37 swim to put herself at the front of the field. Ruff then went 31:06 on the bike with an 18:56 run to clinch the victory.

Dasso finished in 1:03:28 and also took advantage of her swim time of 10:43. After a bike time of 31:07, Dasson closed with a run of 19:59 for a sixth-place result.

Buchanan was also solid in the water, where she recorded a swim mark of 10:40. She followed with a 31:05 on the bike and a run of 20:24. Which put her final time at 1:03:59 to finish 11th.

Ruff and Dasso will head to Sarasota, Fla., where they will compete in the Americas Triathlon North American Junior Championships this weekend. The event has two automatic selections for the Junior World Championships available.
