EUGENE, Oregon - The Pac-12 Championships are here! Sun Devil Track and Field is at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon for the conference championships May 13-15. In his third year, head coach Dion Miller has ASU in good position to bring home a ton of hardware with 22 marks in the conference top-5, especially in the men's 4x400 where ASU has the best time across the Pac-12. Jamar Marshall Jr. (110H), Turner Washington (shot) and Jorinde van Klinken (shot, discus) lead the Pac-12 in their respective events too. Events will stream across the Pac-12 Networks. ASU Track and Field Pac-12 Champions
Last year at the conference finals, ASU celebrated Marshall Jr., Carlan Naisant (javelin), van Klinken (discus) and Alizee Minard (javelin) all earning gold medals. The men's half of the team finished fourth overall, while the women earned third overall. Van Klinken went on to earn NCAA gold in the discus, while Minard earned silver in the javelin and Marshall Jr. took fifth in the 110H. Four-time NCAA champion Turner Washington missed last year's Pac-12 Championships but he's set to compete at this go around.
Others to watch include Justin Robinson in the 400m, Cortney Jones in the 100H, Sevanna Hanson in the pole vault, Dyla James in the long jump, and Ralford Mullings in the discus. All the aforementioned are sitting second in their events and are healthy coming into this weekend.
