TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Lacrosse prepares for arguably the toughest stretch in program history, heading back to California to play USC on Friday before returning home to host Florida on Sunday.

The game against the Trojans will be broadcasted via the USC Live Stream, with live stats also available. Two days later, Arizona State is back home to take on No. 11 Florida at 11 AM MST on Sunday, Mar. 27. LAST TIME OUT
Sun Devil Lacrosse fell to Stanford in their Pac-12 road opener last Friday night at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium. Arizona State found themselves trailing a majority of the game, but put forth a valiant comeback effort to pull to as close as three goals, before eventually losing 19-11.

Emily Glagolev and Carley Adams attempted to take over the game, each delivering a spectacular offensive performance. They both eclipsed the 100-career goal mark in style, finishing with a combined 10 points. Katie Brodsky and Taylor Pinzone joined them in scoring 3+ points, allowing ASU to keep pace with Stanford through two and a half quarters.

Sun Devil Lacrosse showed resiliency and toughness in a 21-18 comeback win over California on Sunday. Arizona State (4-3, 3-1) was down by three goals at halftime, but rallied behind a gritty second half effort to earn the win in a shootout. Contributions from throughout the roster allowed the Sun Devils to come roaring back with a 10-2 advantage in the third quarter.

Emily Glagolev continues to play at an elite level, leading the offense with a massive 10-point effort. That included a single-game program record seven assists, breaking the record of six that she previously held. Glagolev was consistently finding teammates like Carley Adams (five goals), Taylor Pinzone (four goals), Emily Munro (three goals), and Mina Scott (three goals), as five different Sun Devils recorded a hat trick, including Glagolev.

Defensive adjustments made in the second half by Head Coach Tim McCormack allowed the Sun Devils to slow down the California offense, leading to lucrative counter attacks. One of those changes was in net, as goalkeeper Flynn Murphywas inserted in the second half. She did not miss a beat, finishing the rest of the game, looking comfortable in the cage. Murphy was credited with her first collegiate win, making five saves while also causing a turnover.

The Sun Devils get their first road victory of the season and move to 3-1 in Pac-12 play, scoring a season-high 21 goals in the process.

USC
A huge test awaits on Friday, Mar. 25 at 4 PM MST, when ASU travels to Los Angeles for a showdown with USC. The Trojans are 6-2 this season and 3-1 in conference play, most recently ranked No. 18 by Inside Lacrosse. Like the Sun Devils, they split a road trip to the Bay Area, defeating California on Friday before losing to Stanford in overtime on Sunday.

USC had the opportunity to play one home games at Untied Airlines Field at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home of USC Football and an iconic sports venue. They chose the matchup with Arizona State, an indication of the magnitude of the game. The Trojans own wins over two ranked teams, including a road victory at No. 18 Jacksonville. The Pac-12 rivals split a pair of games last season, each winning on each other's home field.

This year's USC squad is led by the duo of Kelsey Huff and Isabelle Vitale, who each have 35+ points on the season. Huff is the team's leading goal scorer, finding the back of the net 32 times. Vitale has dished out a team-high 15 assists. USC is extremely tough in the draw control area, with three individuals collected 25+ draw controls. Goalkeeper Kait Devir has started all eight games in net, providing a stabilizing presence. She has all six wins and has made 52 saves at a 41% clip.

FLORIDA
For the first time, two of the largest universities in the nation will matchup on a lacrosse field. The Florida Gators come to Tempe for a 11 AM MST showdown on Sunday. Florida currently sits at 5-4 and is the No. 11 team in the nation according to Inside Lacrosse. The Gators have arguably played one of the nation's toughest schedules, already facing #2 North Carolina, #5 Maryland, #5 Stony Brook, #9 Loyola (MD), and #3 Syracuse.

Head Coach Amanda O'Leary will go up against another one of her former players, as Sun Devil Lacrosse Assistant Coach Nicole Graziano was a star attacker for the Gators from 2012-16. She was a part of several decorated Florida teams and the program continues to win.

The 2022 Florida team will be a handful, as they are extremely balanced on both offense and defense. Danielle Pavinelli leads the way with 41 points and 30 goals, with Emma LoPinto not far behind with 39 points and 17 assists. The Gators play disciplined team defense and only allow a little over 10 goals/game, despite the tough schedule. Goalkeeper Sarah Reznick has started all nine games in the cage, credited with all five wins. She has made 67 saves at a 42% clip, playing 490 of a possible 540 minutes.
