 Quotes
Arizona State head coach Jay Santos
Overall thoughts
"We were just a little tentative in some spots. We started out well on vault and I feel like we just missed bars. There were so many routines that were so close to hitting. A couple of the floor routines were a little tentative but we finished well so that was exciting to see. Just a couple of missed opportunities, but there is some really good stuff in there. It's got to be top to bottom, all the way through the lineups. Hitting clean and strong, taking away a couple of those little blips. They're capable of doing it, we're doing it in practice. We just have to settle in a little bit more and put it all together."

Success on vault
"They were really dynamic in vaults today. I don't think we were giving away a lot. We did a good job controlling the landings pretty well. They executed a lot of the things we talk about all week, minus a couple of sticks."

On the tough schedule
"We've been going against some of the best teams in the country over the last few weeks. We are going against some of the stiffest competition we're going to see anywhere in the country all year long, so it's not going to surprise them at this point. We've seen the best, now we need to focus on ourselves and get our performance up to that level and then we're there."

Freshman Hannah Scharf
Overall thoughts
"It wasn't our greatest day, especially on beams our nerves got the best of us a little bit. We need to work on being aggressive and trusting what we do in our practice a little more. If you hold back, it's not going to benefit you or the team at all. So, you really just have to be aggressive in each routine and just really enjoy it and don't overthink it. You have to trust that you know how to do it."
