FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- The Arizona State men's swimming team competed in four more events on day two of the Pac-12 Championships on Thursday afternoon at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

The men's 500-yard freestyle was up first, and junior Barkley Perry and senior Juan Tolosa competed in the 'B' final for ASU. Both of them set new personal bests in the event, with Tolosa turning in a 4:20.18 for fourth place (12th overall) and Perry clocking a 4:22.56 for 7th (15th overall). Both were NCAA 'B' cut times as well.

Junior transfer Tim Schade competed in the men's 500 free 'C' event and finished fifth with a time of 4:31.86 in his first-ever Pac-12 Championship. He swam a 4:31.24 in the prelim event.

The next event -- the men's 200 individual medley -- featured five Sun Devil men in 'C' final.

Senior Kyle Sockwell and juniors Thomaz Martins, Juanjo Garcia and Aidan O'Hara all set personal bests of their own in the event. Sockwell took second in the event with a time of 1:47.76, which would have been good enough for a new personal best if it weren't for his 1:48.19 set in the prelims. Martins blew away his previous best in the prelims at 1:48.37 before swimming a 1:50.93 for fifth in the event -- which also would have been a personal best. Garcia came in seventh but swam a new PR in the prelims with a 1:50.67, while O'Hara swam a 1:52.36 in the prelims for a new best as well. Freshman Daniel Comforti also competed in the 'C' final and came in third at 1:49.31.

In the third and final individual event of the evening, the Devils had four competing in the 'C' final and two swimming in the 'B' final of the 50-meter freestyle.

Speedster Patrick Park and fellow relay teammate Tadas Duskinas finished in fourth and eighth, respectively, in the 'B' final for six more points for the Devils. Park also broke his old personal best in the prelim event, going sub-20 seconds for the first time ever at 19.90. He went on to then swim a 19.96 in the final -- both NCAA 'B' cuts.

Junior Reid Elliott, senior Sean Kao and junior Joe Worrick made it ten ASU personal bests on the evening with their times of 20.17, 20.60 and 21.05, respectively. Elliott and Kao swam their bests in the prelims while Worrick clocked his 21.05 in the final.

The men's 200-freestyle relay of Richard Bohus, Park, Martins and Duskinas had a lot to live up to after two record-breaking ASU relay swims the day before. While their time was a half second from being a third relay record, the Sun Devils still finished in fifth with a time of 1:18.86 -- less than a second off of first place.
