NORMAN, Okla.—The Arizona State gymnastics team had a meet of season highs as they took third place in Oklahoma’s Beauty and the Beast tri-meet at Lloyd Noble Center Saturday night. The Sun Devils faced No. 2 Oklahoma and Iowa State and finished with a season high score of 193.325. Oklahoma took first place with 197.475 and Iowa State finished second with 193.850.

The Sun Devils saw success early as team set a new season high on beam improving from 47.875, recorded at the season opener on Jan. 8, to 48.550, and finished second in the event. Freshmen Heather Udowitch and Corinne Belkoff both matched their career-high scores of 9.750 and 9.725, respectively, and senior Beka Conrad had a season-high score of 9.725.

During the second rotation on floor, ASU continued its consistent success in the event and matched its season-high score of 48.900. Senior Taylor Allex finished third overall with a score of 9.875 and senior Kristine Levin set a new season-high score of 9.700. Freshman Eileen Imbus improved her season-high from 8.975 to 9.800.

On vault, senior Carissa Kraus improved her season-high score to 9.625 and Allex led the team in the event, scoring a 9.800. ASU recorded a score of 48.300 for the event.

Freshmen Eileen Imbus and Katelyn Lentz each posted career-high scores on bars and Imbus led the team in the event with a score of 9.725.

Senior Allie Salas placed fourth in the all-around and set new a career-high score of 38.750, improving her all-around score from 38.275.

Up next the Gym Devils travel to Corvallis, Ore. to take on the Beavers on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 4:00 p.m. PT/5:00 p.m. MT.
