CORVALLIS, Ore. – In a must needed road meet for the team’s ranking and NCAA postseason selection, the Arizona State women’s gymnastics team scored a 195.575 in a tri-meet with No. 14 Oregon State and No. 7 Nebraska, Saturday, in Corvallis, Ore.
After making line-up changes to replace injured freshman Gilly Hogue, another freshman, Savannah Borman, was able to step up for the Gym Devils in the clutch and help ASU deliver a season high score of 49.100 on beam. On beam, both sophomores Risa Perez and Stephanie Miceli hit scores of 9.875 to pace Arizona State. With a fall from junior Morgan Steigerwalt, Borman delivered a solid routine with a score of 9.775 to give ASU it's season high score of 49.100.
Junior Natasha Sundby recorded the highest score on floor for the Sun Devils with a score of 9.850, while Kraus and senior Sammie Seaman hit the highest scores of the night on vault with a 9.825.
The away meet at Oregon State gave Arizona State its third road score of the season to qualify the team for an RQS score.
