Fourth-ranked Sun Devil softball moves to 35-5 and 7-2 in Pac-12 after the loss in game one on Tuesday. The Beavers are 27-10, 4-3 Pac-12 after picking up the victory on a walk-off homer in the ninth.

GAME ONE: Oregon State 4, Arizona State 2 (9)
An nine-inning affair was in store for the Sun Devils as a late-game showing by ASU led the game to go to extra frames. Both teams remained off the scoreboard until Oregon State posted the first run in the fifth for a 1-0 lead.

ASU posted its first lead in the top of the seventh going up 2-1 after Talor Haro singled up the middle followed by Katelyn Boyd doubling down the right field line. Alix Johnson scored Haro on a single shot at the pitcher for the 1-1 tie. Boyd then came home, unearned, on an OSU error to make it a 2-1 game.

The Beavers answered in the bottom of the seventh with a solo-homer by Elizabeth Santana to keep OSU in the game at 2-2 and push the contest to extra frames. Santana came back with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to plate two and take a 4-2 victory for OSU.

Dallas Escobedo garners the loss after 8.0 innings in the circle and seven strikeouts. Boyd, Elizabeth Caporuscio and Haro all finished with two hits each. Tina Andreana picks up the win for the Beavers, improving her record to 6-7 after a 5.0 inning performance.

GAME TWO: Arizona State 0, Oregon State 1 **Play postponed in top of fifth
Oregon State jumped to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, using three hits and two ASU errors to plate Erin Guzy. Guzy reached on an infield single and came home on Lea Cavestany’s hit to right.

Officals postponed play in the top of the fifth due to darkness and no lights in the stadium. Play will resume Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., weather permitting.
