"(The win) proves who we are as a team," freshman guard Jahii Carson said. "It was a good test for us and I'm just pleased with the win. We gave good respect to Arkansas, but we played well."

Arizona State led only 43-41 at intermission, but scored the second half's first six points and never trailed again. "We did some very good things and all guys contributed," noted Coach Sendek, who will go for his 37th win over a ranked team against Creighton Saturday at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. "Jonathan Gilling again was amazing on the boards. Jordan was active. We need to clean up our free throw shooting though."

Jordan Bachynski added 14 points and 13 rebounds. The win gave ASU its fourth 4-0 start in 26 seasons.

Bachynski matched his career-high with 13 rebounds. He also had 13 boards vs. Washington on Jan. 26, 2012. He also posted his third career double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
