LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Arizona State swimming and diving team finished their Pac-12 road trip on Saturday afternoon as the men and women lost to the USC Trojans with scores of 144-82 and 118-116 respectively.
The Devils swept the Trojans in the diving competition. Freshman recruit Morgan Weller scored 298.88 and 282.83 in the 3-meter and 1-meter to place first for the women. Junior Hailey Casper came in second place in both events as well, and sophomore Sydney Czaus recorded a sixth-place finish in the women’s 1-meter. Transfer Harrison Jones dominated on the men’s end, with a 374.93 score in the 1-meter and 392.55 score in the 3-meter to win.
Senior Shannon Landgrebe continued her stellar weekend, placing first in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle races. Senior Taylor Wohrley also got a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, and junior Tristin Baxter finished second in both the 1000- and 500-yard freestyles.
Arizona State will return to California next weekend to partake in the Arena Invitational in Long Beach, beginning on Nov. 15.
