Strike First...Strike Fast
ASU has now scored first in seven out of their eight games after Kevin Ozier's short touchdown reception 1 minute and 47 seconds into the game. ASU is now 5-2 in those games where they struck first. They currently outscore their opponent by a wide 83-46 in the first quarter.

Time To Rename The Endzone The "Gricezone"
In his first year as a junior-college transfer, running back Marion Grice, who had three touchdowns today, has found a knack for the endzone, posting 12 touchdowns in his 80 offensive touches this year. This means he scores a touchdown 15 percent of the time he touches the ball. Only Kenjon Barner and Kadeem Carey had more touchdowns than Grice's nine entering the day.

Winning by way of TKO (Taylor Kelly Offense)
In his first year at quarterback, Taylor Kelly quickly learned how to manage the offense. Through eight games, he has completed 67.7 percent of his passes out of 217 attempts. The school record for pass completion percentage (over 301 attempts) is 61.8 percent.

Not Playing Coy
Tight end Chris Coyle continues to move up the single-season reception list in ASU tight end history. His three receptions Saturday moved him into a tie with Zach Miller for eighth place with 38 receptions. Miller currently leads all Sun Devil tight ends with 56 single-season catches.

Fostering the People
Arguably the best recruit by ASU coming into the season, freshman running back DJ Foster has scored six touchdowns this season coming in six different games after he caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Taylor Kelly to put the Sun Devils up by one with 1:33 left. He also leads the Sun Devils in total rushing yards with 371 yards.

Three-Headed Monster
Of the 2,278 total receiving yards this season, the duel-threat running back trio of Cameron Marshall, DJ Foster, and Marion Grice has accounted for 809, or 35.5 percent of those. They have also accounted for 24 out of the 37 total offensive touchdowns, including four out of the five scored against UCLA. Grice has 12 (six rushing, six receiving), Marshall has six (five rushing, one receiving),and Foster has six (two rushing, four receiving).

Pin 'em Deep
ASU punter Josh Hubner refuses to give the opposing teams good field position to start drives. In 30 punt attempts this season, he has pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 12 times. His longest punt of the day sailed 73 yards, forcing UCLA to start at their own 2-yard line. It was the longest punt of his college career. In five attempts against the Bruins, Hubner averaged 52.6 yards and had three punts over 50 yards.

Run Them Into The Ground
Prior to the UCLA game, the highest number of rushing attempts by ASU this season was 51 against NAU on opening night. They rushed the ball 59 times against the Bruins for a total of 220 yards.

Finish Your Drives
The Sun Devils drove the ball into the redzone eight times against UCLA, putting up points every time. They scored five touchdowns and kicked three field goals after getting inside the 20, accounting for all 43 points scored.

Just Kicking It
Alex Garoutte bumped up his extra point streak 84 against UCLA, going 5-5 on extra points. He is now 89-90 in his career.

Sun Devils vs. Bruins
In a series that dates back to 1976, UCLA now holds a 18-10-1 record against Arizona State. In the last six meetings, both schools have captured three wins.
