Captains
Captains were LB Brandon Magee, RB Cameron Marshall, S Keelan Johnson and OL Evan Finkenberg, along with honorary captain Jeff Van Raaphorst.
Not The Quarterbacks Best Friend
Will Sutton has been on a tear through the first three games of the season. His 8-yard sack against the Tigers gives him three sacks on the year, which is more than his season total in both 2009 and 2011. He had three tackles-for-loss for 7 yards, including a five-yard sack against Illinois, and one sack for 10 yards against NAU.
A Nose For The Ball
Linebacker Brandon Magee collected his second interception of the season and the fourth of his career (he had one in both 2009 and 2010).
Magee also tied for the team lead in tackles with 12, making tonight the first game since December 2, 2010, that he led the team in tackles (he had 13 in a 30-29 OT win at Arizona)
ASU linebackers now have four of team's seven interceptions this season, as both Magee and freshman Carlos Mendoza have two apiece.
He's Got A Leg And He's Not Afraid To Use It
Punter Josh Hubner set a new career-long with his 62-yard punt midway through the second quarter. He also collected his first career tackle on the play.
Hubner pinned three punts inside the 20-yard line and now has six this season.
Go DJ
Freshman running back DJ Foster picked up his first career receiving touchdown on a 33-yard screen pass from Taylor Kelly. His longest catch of the season was a 37-yard against Illinois.
Making A Night Of It
Defensive back Alden Darby set a career high with 12 tackles, including six solo, and tied for the team lead in tackles.
SPUR backer Chris Young also collected a career high with 11 tackles, including four solo.
A Can't-Miss Game
71,004 fans were at the game to give Missouri its first non-conference sellout since 1985 against Notre Dame
It's A Good Chance He'll Score
Running back Marion Grice had six carries for two touchdowns against the Tigers to add to his 14 carries and three touchdowns in the season opener vs. NAU. Grice now has 22 carries on the season and five touchdowns, which means he has scored a touchdown every 4.4 times he runs the ball.
Coming Into His Own
Tight end Chris Coyle led the team in receptions for the second consecutive game as he had five catches for 43 yards. Coyle now has 17 catches this year and only one drop.
