EUGENE, Ore. – Arizona State softball rounded out a rainy weekend against 17th-ranked Oregon on Sunday by cancelling the series closer. The Sun Devils split the series, 1-1, after playing a doubleheader on Saturday.
ASU (32-4, 4-1 Pac-12) went up 1-0 in the top of the first when Alix Johnson scored on an Annie Lockwood single to deep center. Just 13 minutes into the contest, game officials halted play due to inclement weather.
Since the game was only in the top of the first inning and not through five innings of play it does not count towards either team's records.
