PALOS VERDES, Calif.—The ninth-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif., Wednesday. The Sun Devils shot a team total of 29-over 891 (302-295-294) for the three-round tournament. ASU’s third round total of 294 tied for the lowest round of the day.
Senior Giulia Molinaro scored a three-round total of 6-over 219 (77-69-73). Ranked fifth in the nation, Molinaro recorded her fourth top-10 finish of the season. Sophomore Justine Lee recorded her tournament-low round of 73 in the final round for a total of 9-over 222 (75-74-73). The sophomore finished the tournament tied for 16th.
Arizona State’s fourth-place finish comes over a field in which all 15 teams are ranked in the top-50 according to Golfweek.
The Sun Devils return to competition next month, as they compete in the Battle at Rancho Bernardo, hosted by San Diego State, Mar. 18-20 in Rancho Bernardo, Calif.
