Elina Eggers and Riley McCormick swept the diving events, but the Arizona State University swimming and diving teams dropped a dual meet at California. The women's team fell 157-135 to drop to 6-4 (2-3 Pac-10) while the men lost their meet 152-127 to fall to 3-3 (0-2 Pac-10).

Eggers handily won the 1-meter, scoring 305.18 in the process. Teammate Brittany Jumer finished runner-up on the lower springboard with 279.38 points. On the men's side, freshman McCormick took first on the 1-meter, earning a career-best 348.75 points. Sophomore Constantin Blaha placed second after earning 313.05.

Eggers and McCormick also won the 3-meter. Eggers scored 319.13 to take first by over 40 points over Cal's Kelsey Heikem. McCormick and Blaha went one and two again as McCormick earned 410.85 points to top his teammate's 356.85.

In swimming, Jamie Martinez and Rebecca Edjervik were the two lone winners for the women. Edjervik went 1:03.18 to hit the wall first in the 100 breast. Martinez raced to a time of 2:02.93 to win the 200 back. Xavier Mohammed also won the 200 back on the men's side. He clocked in at 1:49.10 to finish first over Cal's Nick Trowbridge.

The Sun Devils compete at Stanford tomorrow.
