The Arizona State swimming and diving teams closed out the dual season falling to Arizona. The women dropped a 174-109 matchup to the Wildcats while the men were defeated 178-83.
Brittany Jumer and Ashton Aubry were the lone event winners for the Sun Devils. Jumer took first on the 3-meter with a score of 289.65. The sophomore also placed second on the 1-meter, scoring 242.85. Aubry won the 200 fly, clocking in at 2:17.50.
Cameron Bradshaw was runner-up in both diving events. The redshirt freshman scored a 301.80 on the 1-meter and a 268.35 on the 3-meter to claim second. Sara McDaniel secured second in the 100 breast, hitting the wall at 1:11.07. Jen Beckberger placed second in the 100 free, finishing in 57.35.
In the 200 free, Vinicius Waked earned a time of 1:53.54 to finish second. Yutaro Yamashita clocked in at 2:07.63 in the 200 fly, finishing runner-up. He followed that up with a second place finish in the 400 free with a time of 4:07.26. Jamie Martinez placed second in the 200 IM, coming at 2:23.16.
The women's swimming team and both diving teams will head to the Pacific Northwest to compete in the Pac-10 Championships Feb. 25-28. The men's team will head to Long Beach to compete in their Pac-10 Championships at the beginning of March.
