The Arizona State women's golf team topped the field after day one of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. Held at the par 72, 6,324-yard University of Texas Golf Club, the top-ranked Sun Devils hold a one-stroke lead over Arkansas. The team shot a 1-under 287 in the first round.

Although not in the line-up, Jennifer Osborn had the lowest score for the Sun Devils. Playing as an individual, Osborn carded a 2-under 70 to finish day one as part of a six-way tie for first.

For the Sun Devils in the line-up, Juliana Murcia and Giulia Molinaro both led the way. Both Murcia and Molinaro finished 1-under 71. Murcia remained par until the Hole 15 when she tallied a birdie. Molinaro knocked in four birdies throughout the day.

Senior Azahara Munoz finished the day at par. The senior carded two birdies during the front nine but two boogies on the back nine put her back at par. She will enter the second round tied for 13th. Tying for 15th, Carlota Ciganda and Jaclyn Sweeney both finished 1-over 73. Sweeney did shoot an eagle on the par 5 ninth hole but a double boogey on Hole 17 brought her back.

The Sun Devils tee off tomorrow at 9:45 CT.
