The Arizona State men's swimming team concluded action at the Dallas Morning News Classic finishing third overall with a total of 351.5 points.
Saturday's events began with the 200 medley relay. The team of Ante Cvitkovic, John Dwelley, Sean Boyle and Steve Neuwert finished fourth overall with a time 1:31.28. The next event was the 500 free. All-American CJ Nuess clocked in a time of 4:30.94 to finish third overall. Vinicius Waked finished third in the consolation final and ninth overall with a time of 4:32.41.
In the 100 breast, freshman Colin Gladys finished fourth overall, coming in at 2:08.11. John Dwelley also competed in the 100 breast. He touched in at 2:08.96, good enough to finish fifth in the consolation final and eleventh overall. Ante Cvitkovic placed fourth in the 100 back, coming in at 147.86. Boyle also competed in the 100 back, coming in second in the consolation final with a time of 1:53.03.
Billy Sweeney had the only individual victory of the weekend. He won the three meter with an automatic NCAA score of 327.90.
Steve Neuwert placed third in the 100 free, coming in at 45.14. Mohammed Madwa also competed in the 100 free, finishing in 46.49. In the 200 fly, Boyle placed fourth overall with a time of 1:50.45. John Dwelley came in 10th at 1:51.22.
Nuess placed fourth in the 200 IM. The senior clocked in a time of 1:51.68. Gladys finished in 1:55.50 for fourth in the consolation final. In the final event of the weekend, the 200 free relay team of Neuwert, Madwa, Waked and Cvitkovic clocked in a time of 1:22.95 to finish fourth overall.
The Sun Devils travel to Minneapolis next weekend to compete against Minnesota.
