Micky Benedetti finished his sweep of the Pac-10 diving championships as he defended his platform title. The junior scored over 80 points more than his next highest competitor to jump up two spots from the preliminaries. Benedetti earned a career-best score of 434.70 to take his fifth Pac-10 title.
Benedetti had won the one and three meter earlier this week scoring 366.20 in the one-meter and 398.85 in the three-meter. Last season he won the three meter and the platform at the Pac-10 Championships.
Freshman Brittany Jumer also had a strong showing on the platform. Jumer placed fifth overall in the event with a score of 255.30.
The divers head to the NCAA Zone E Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. The begin begins on March 13 and concludes March 15.
