Franklin, Tenn. - The Arizona State women's golf team is currently in first place after the first round of the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship in Franklin, Tenn. The Sun Devils tied the single round team record, set by Georgia in last year's competition, after shooting an 8-under 280. ASU leads a bountiful field, which includes thirteen teams ranked in the Golfworld/NGCA Coaches' Poll.
Junior All-American Azahara Munoz leads the Sun Devils after shooting a 5-under 67. Munoz is currently in third place. Sophomore All-American Anna Nordqvist shot a 4-under 68 and is in a tie for fourth. Junior All-American Jennifer Osborn is tied for 24th after shooting an even-par 72. Sophomore Juliana Murcia shot a 1-over 73 to tie for 35th. Senior Camila Sola is tied for 80th after shooting a 6-over 78.
UCLA's Tiffany Joh is currently in first place after carding a 7-under 65.
The second round of the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship continues tomorrow at the par-72, 6,217-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club.
