The ASU Men's golf team is tied for ninth with a 13-under 555 (284-271) after the first two rounds of the Alister McKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, California. The tournament is being played at the Meadow Club the site of the 2008 Pac-10 Men's Golf Championship. Sophomore Knut Borsheim is in a four-way tie for third place with a 9-under 133 (68-65).

The University of Washington leads the field with a 27-under 541 (273-278). Two-time defending tournament winner California sits in fifth place.

Senior Jesper Kennegard is tied for 36th with a 1-under 141 (72-69) and fellow freshman James Byrne is tied for 41st with an even par 142 (73-69). Junior Steele DeWald rounds out the Sun Devils tied for 68th with a 4-over 146 (75-71).

The teams will conclude the tournament Tuesday with 18 holes.
