TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Dymond Simon made a free throw with 50.4 seconds left to break a tie and No. 13 Arizona State held off Washington for an 88-83 win Sunday in Pacific 10 Conference play that snapped the Huskies' nine-game winning streak.

The Sun Devils (14-2, 4-1) made 7-of-10 free throws in the final 37.3 seconds to secure the victory, Arizona State's 10th in 11 games.

Emily Westerberg scored 22 points before fouling out with 1:30 remaining and Simon added 15 for Arizona State, which trailed by as many as 11 in the first half and eight early in the second.

Stefanie Clark scored 21 points and Cameo Hicks added 16 for the Huskies (12-5, 5-1).

After Clark missed two free throws with 58.5 seconds left, Simon made 1 of 2 to give Arizona State an 81-80 lead. Hicks missed a 14-footer and then fouled Danielle Orsillo with 37.3 seconds left. Orsillo made her two shots.

Andrea Plouffe, who added 16 points, made a 3-pointer with 4.7 seconds remaining to cut the lead to 85-83, but Jill Noe made a free throw after being fouled on the ensuing in-bounds play. Orsillo then grabbed an offensive rebound and was fouled. She sank two more free throws for the final margin.

The Huskies built a 38-27 lead in the first half, but Arizona State scored the last six points to cut the advantage to 44-40 at the break. The Huskies made seven of their first 10 shots and finished the night 34-of-64 from the field.
