SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Arizona State University soccer team fell at San Diego, 1-0, Sunday afternoon, giving the Sun Devils their second 1-0 defeat in a row and their first loss away from Tempe this season after the Toreros scored a first half goal that stood as the only score of the match. The Sun Devils slipped to 4-3-2 overall on the season.

At 25:27 in the first half, Veronica Ambort scored on a shot after Hallie Huston sent a cross through the box that ASU keeper Kim Bingham deflected, but could not clear, leaving Ambort open on the left post for the goal. Bingham ended the match with one save while the defense was credited with one save as well.

Offensively, Brittney Doty led the way with five shots, including two on net, while four other recorded one shot each on the day.

The Sun Devils return home for a pair of matches next weekend, both starting at 6 p.m. ASU opens with its final non-conference match of the season when UNLV visits Friday night before the Sun Devils close out the weekend by playing host to the Mexican Women's National Team Sunday evening at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.
