LOS ANGELES (AP) - Eshaya Murphy tied a career high with 22 points and Southern California upset No. 9 Arizona State 58-50 Friday night.

The victory was USC's first against a Top 10 team since a win over Stanford on Jan. 25, 2004.

Camille LeNoir added 13 points for the Trojans (9-5, 3-2 Pac-10), who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Kristen Kovesdy scored 11 points for the Sun Devils (12-2, 3-1), who had won nine consecutive games. Arizona State fell a half-game behind first-place Stanford with the loss.

The Sun Devils held a 48-44 lead with 5:31 to play but USC used a 12-0 run to move ahead 56-48 with 43.4 seconds left. Murphy and LeNoir scored four points apiece during the rally.

The Sun Devils shot 27 percent in the second half.

The Trojans made 15 steals in forcing 23 turnovers. Murphy had four steals with LeNoir and Meghan Gnekow each making three.
