OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals got underway Thursday afternoon at the Oklahoma City Community College Aquatic Center. Junior All-American Joona Puhakka topped the rest of the field, claiming the one-meter springboard title and securing a trip to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Puhakka, coming off titles in the one-meter and there-meter events at the Pac-10 Diving Championships, scored 664.55 to take top honors and qualify for the NCAA Championships in the one-meter event.

Senior All-American Trisha Tumlinson, who claimed the platform title at the Pac-10 Diving Championships, scored 478.50 to claim seventh-place in the three-meter and qualify for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Sophomore Cassidy Farwell was also in action for the Sun Devil women, scoring 200.15 in the three-meter event.

The NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals continue through Saturday, March 12. Friday's competition begins at 10 a.m., with the men on the three-meter and the women on the one-meter.
