TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Emily Westerberg had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 12 Arizona State to a 78-64 victory over Texas-San Antonio on Monday night.
Kristen Kovesdy also scored 17 points for the Sun Devils (9-1), who won their sixth straight game. Jill Noe added 12 points.
Vivian Ewalefo had 16 points and a season-high 10 rebounds to lead the Roadrunners (5-4). Nicole Dunson added 10 for Texas-San Antonio, which played for the first time since beating Davidson on Dec. 3.
Arizona State led by two points at halftime, but outscored the Roadrunners 18-11 in the first 8:36 of the second to take a 49-40 lead on Kovesdy's hook shot.
Danielle Orsillo made it 57-45 with a 3-pointer with 8:56 to play, but Texas-San Antonio got within 61-55 with a surge capped by Dunson's 3-pointer with 6:01 to go.
Kovesdy stole the momentum with a three-point play 16 seconds later, and Westerberg scored six points in the final 2:14.
The Roadrunners fought back from an early deficit to take a 17-15 on Ewalefo's driving layup with 9:31 left in the first half.
The lead changed hands four more times before Noe, scoreless until the final 3:30, made a 3-pointer with 1:50 remaining, giving the Sun Devils a 29-27 lead.
