TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Brandon Roy had a team-high 18 points and four other players scored in double figures, leading Washington past Arizona State 96-72 on Saturday.
Nate Robinson pitched in 13 points and Hakeem Rollins scored 12 off the bench for Washington (15-10, 10-6 Pac-10), which remained in second place in the Pac-10, one game ahead of No. 17 Arizona. Tre Simmons added 11 points and Bobby Jones had 10.
Arizona State (10-16, 4-13) was paced by Ike Diogu, who scored a game-high 27 points and went 11 for 14 from the line, setting the Pac-10 record for the most free throws made in a season with 240.
Jamal Hill (14 points) and Stevie Moore (10 points) each finished in double figures.
Sparked by a 9-1 run in the opening 3:15 of the second half, Washington took a 53-30 lead and never looked back. Conroy had five points during the stretch, scoring on a three-point shot and a pair of free throws.
Washington opened a 19-6 lead six minutes into the game on the strength of a 10-0 run, which was capped by Simmons bucket after Roy blocked Kevin Kruger. The Huskies led by as many as 21 points in the first half before settling for a 44-29 edge at intermission.
ASU coach Rob Evans started four seniors, including seldom-used guard Brandon Goldman, who had played only five minutes in three games this season.
The last-place Sun Devils used all 15 players on their active roster.
