LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Arizona State had its five-game winning streak snapped by USC Thursday night, falling to the Women of Troy 65-50 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

The Sun Devils (15-7, 9-4 Pac-10) were hurt by a season-high 34 turnovers, while USC (13-9, 10-4) outshot ASU 43.4 to 32.6 percent and held the Sun Devils to just 14 field goals on the night.

Arizona State trailed the entire game, falling behind 13-2 four minutes into the game. The Sun Devils had 19 turnovers in the first half and just seven field goals. USC went up as many as 16 points late in the half and took a 35-19 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

In the second half, USC scored the next nine points of the game to take a 45-19 lead with 16:44 to play in the game. ASU went on a 13-2 run to cut the USC lead to 13 points, 47-34 with 11:28 to play, a stretch that included six straight points by sophomore Jenny Thigpin. The Women of Troy, however, answered with a 13-2 run of their own to regain a 24-point lead. Arizona State scored eight of the last 11 points in the game, including Thigpin's first three-pointer of the year, but it wasn't enough as USC earned the 65-50 win.

Thigpin led the Sun Devils in scoring for the second straight game with 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting. Junior Betsy Boardman added eight points, while junior Lauren Stagg pulled down a career-best eight rebounds and added two assists and three steals.

USC junior Meghan Gnekow led all scorers with 19 points, while senior Ebony Hoffman had 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Arizona State returns to action on Saturday afternoon, playing UCLA at 2 p.m. Pacific Time at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.
