LOS ANGELES (www.TheSunDevils.com) -- Keao Burdine collected 18 kills and 20.5 points for the second consecutive night to lead the fifth-ranked and defending national champion USC women's volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-16, 30-15, 30-20) victory over Arizona State on Saturday at the Lyon Center.
With the win, the Women of Troy improve to 14-3 overall and 9-2 in the Pac-10, while the Sun Devils lost their fourth straight to fall to 8-12 overall and 3-8 in conference play.
Sophomore outside hitter Nicole Morton (Bonsall, Calif.) led the Sun Devils with 11 kills. Freshman libero Alison Lund notched a career-high 10 digs.
Burdine led an overall strong offensive effort by the Women of Troy. USC hit .400 for the match with five players all finishing above .389, including Burdine, Alicia Robinson (.600), Emily Adams (.571), Staci Venski (.471) and Bibiana Candelas (.389). Adams led the team with eight blocks and Debora Seilhamer led with 23 digs.
Up next, the Sun Devils host Oregon State on Thursday (Nov. 4) at 7 p.m. and the Oregon Ducks on Friday (Nov. 5) at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
