TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State track and field team ended its weekend on the road at three separate locations as the Sun Devils completed their stays at the Drake Relays, Oregon Invitational and UC San Diego Open Saturday. The story of the day was the men's 4x400m relay team remaining undefeated this year as the captured the event title with the fastest time run in college this year.
The quartet of Jason Barton, Seth Amoo, Steve Fitch and Lewis Banda clocked a 3:02.81 to again edge Baylor who ran a 3:02.82. The Sun Devil time is the second-fastest in ASU history and the No. 9 all-time mark in the Pac-10 Conference. Three of the four relay participants also fared well individually with Banda and Barton taking second and fourth, respectively in the 400m dash. Amoo took third in the 200m dash.
