TEMPE, Ariz. - The 11th-ranked Arizona State women's swimming team wrapped up their two-day meet today at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center in Tucson, Ariz. Although official final team scores were not available, the results indicated a third place finish for the Sun Devils with 55 points. Arizona finished first with 133 while Wisconsin was second with 114.

Day two of the meet again featured sophomore All-American ?gnes Kov?cs leading the way for ASU with two first-place finishes while recording her best times of the year. In the 200 IM she recorded a 2:02.97, earning an NCAA "B" qualifying time. In the 200 breast she dominated the field and touched the wall in 2:13.40, lowering her NCAA "A" time that she recorded last week and beating the nearest competitor by over three seconds. Kov?cs earned three first-place finishes on the weekend.

Other Sun Devil highlights on the day included senior All-American Claire Hedenskog's second place finish in the 50 free (23.87) and sophomore All-American Florencia Szigeti's third-place finish in the 100 free (51.67), which was her fastest time on the year in that event.

Neither the Sun Devil men's swimming squad or the diving squads competed on Saturday. The #11 ASU men's swimming team returns home tomorrow, November 3, at 11:00 a.m. to compete against #2 Auburn at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.
