BATON ROUGE, La. - In her 2002 indoor track and field season debut, Arizona State junior All-American Tiffany Greer placed third in the long jump to lead a small Sun Devil contingent at the Purple Tiger Invitational hosted by Louisiana State University at the Carl Maddox Field House Saturday.

Greer recorded a leap of 19 feet, 11.5 inches to place third behind winner Elisha Williams of Mississippi (20-3.75) and Alice Falaiye of Rice (19-11.75). A four-time All-American in the long jump, Greer's personal best of 21-4 set as a freshman stands as the ASU women's indoor school record.

Also competing for ASU were freshmen Trevell Quinley and Asokah Muhammad, both making their collegiate debuts in the men's long jump. Quinley's leap of 23-4.75 was good for sixth place, while Muhammad placed eighth with an effort of 22-8.5. Muhammad also competed in the men's triple jump but fouled on his attempts.

ASU will make its full team debuts at the Cyclone Classic in Ames, Iowa, Friday, Feb. 8, through Saturday, Feb. 9 and at the Flagstaff Invitational, Saturday, Feb. 9.
