CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Adam Masten scored 15 points including six free throws in the final 33 second as Oregon St. defeated Arizona St. 62-57 Saturday afternoon.
Philip Ricci added 14 pints as Oregon St. (6-4, 1-1 Pac-10) snapped a five game losing streak to the Sun Devils (5-4, 0-2).
Chad Prewitt led Arizona St. with 18 points and Curtis Millage added 13. Both grabbed eight rebounds.
The Beavers weathered a 14-0 run midway through the second half in which the Sun Devils took advantage of three Oregon St. turnovers and converted seven second-chance points.
Millage made a 3-pointer after converting the front end of 1-and-1 to tie the game at 47-47 with 8:01 to play.
Prewitt then grabbed an offensive rebound and made a layup to give Arizona St. its first lead since the score was 9-6.
After Jimmie Haywood made a free throw, Masten grabbed a loose ball and made a layup to give Oregon St. the lead for good.
