Final Stats

TEMPE, Ariz. - Just over three minutes into the first overtime period (93:52), freshman Kathleen Dely netted one of the biggest goals in Arizona State (9-8-0, 3-4-0 Pac-10) history as the Sun Devils knocked off second-ranked Stanford (12-2-1, 5-1-0 Pac-10), 1-0 in overtime. The win over Stanford was the highest ranked team the Sun Devils have ever knocked off.

In front of a new Sun Devil Stadium attendance record of 1,142 fans, All-American Stacey Tullock chipped the ball over the Stanford defense as Dely broke for the goal. Dely then controlled the ball and shot it pass the diving Stanford goalkeeper into the lower left corner of the goal.

In regulation time, both teams had only minimal scoring chances as each team's defense played excellent games. Nine different Cardinal players posted shots, but were unable to score.

ASU senior goalkeeper Kristin Slater made five saves on the night, while Stanford's Carrie Walsh posted six.

Up next, Arizona State will host its final home game of the year against 23rd-ranked California on Sunday, November 4 at 12:30 p.m.
